Kuvings REVO830 Slow Juicer Review: My First Hands-on Experience

Hola! I’m excited to have had the chance to be up close and personal with Kuvings’ latest slow juicer, REVO830. If you think that Kuvings’ latest slow juicer REVO830 is no better than Kuvings existing slow juicer models, you should think again! As soon as I received the REVO830 demo unit, I got my hands dirty and started to unbox the juicer. I put REVO830 to the test to find out What’s New and Whether it live up to my expectations as 2022’s Best Slow Juicer. 

Design Outlook: 4.5/5 Stars

 

First impression wise, when comparing REVO830 to its flagship juicer predecessor EVO820 Powerful Poseidon leather-like body, REVO830 has a more premium and bolder outlook. It comes in a Matt Pearl Black colourway with a sleek square body engraved with dotted patterns to emphasize it’s part of  the REVOLUTION Series of juicers. I was pretty impressed how effortlessly REVO830 blended with my kitchen space; giving my kitchen a premium touch. On a side note, If you have a kitchen with limited space, you would love this juicer as its footprint is smaller than its predecessors.

However, I would comment that this is a rather heavy juicer. I understand that the weight comes from the all new motor that been designed specially for this juicer. Due to its weight, you won’t fancy moving around the juicer too often. It’s best to clear out a small space in your kitchen as your fixed juicing area! 

New Innovative Features: 5/5 Stars

I can see why REVO830 won the 2022 BEST KITCHEN INNOVATION AWARD in Germany with its Dual Mouth Design and Redesigned Auto-cutting Juicing Auger. REVO830 has a unique combination of a 88mm flap gate mouth + 43mm straight chute mouth. I personally love mixing both fruits and vegetables into my cold pressed juice, so having this unique combination provided me with more flexibility and convenience when it comes to juicing. I saved a lot of preparation time as I can simply juice whole fruits as  well as whole long vegetables (like celery). Speaking of which, how does REVO830 stand out when it comes to juicing vegetables?

When I was first introduced to the REVO830’s auto-cutting feature, I was very curious and had my doubts about REVO830 self-acclaimed as The Carrot and Celery Expert.   To my surprise, REVO830 did its job and it could cut my celery and carrots into pieces even though there are no blades to be seen on the auger. This is simply amazing! I don’t have to be worried about the juicer getting stuck due to long fibers.

Ohhh! Not forgetting the Patented Green Rotation Brush that comes with the REVO830. This cleaning tool is a must keep! It might look like a simple brush to you but it is specially designed to clean the strainers of REVO830. With just a few twist and turn under running water, I can easily wash away the fibres that were stuck in the nook and crannies of the strainer. Cleaning was just a breeze!

Juice Texture and Yield: 5/5 Stars

The one important factor that I look into when I choose my juicer is the juice texture and yield. Although there are many brands with their own versions of slow juicers, these slow juicer’s technology always fell short of my expectations. Oftentimes, there would still be some a lot of pulp in the juice, and the pulp discharge would still be pretty wet. 

With the REVO830, I was very pleased with how dry the pulp was and with the juice’s silky smooth texture. For an avid juicing enthusiast like me, I want to maximize my juicing yield. It would be such a waste if my juicer could not extract all the nutrients and juice from my fruits and vegetables. I was told that the REVO830 juice texture is up to 15% smoother than EVO820 Powerful Poseidon, making it the current Top Kuvings Juicer. 

3 in 1 Features: 4/5 Stars

I’m glad REVO830 includes all 3 strainers for juicing, sorbet, and smoothie as the entry level Kuvings Juicers would only have 1 or 2 strainers. You would have to purchase the  others separately if you opt for one of the entry level models. 

Apart from juicing, I personally love the sorbet strainer. I love all kinds of desserts but I’m constantly worried I consume too much unhealthy calories. Now I get to enjoy sorbets made from pure fruits, guilt-free. 

It’s an added plus that the REVO830 can also make smoothies. However I already have a blender at home. I still prefer using my blender to make smoothies as there are fewer things to wash and I can make ice blended smoothies if I want (which I can’t do with the Kuvings).

The main feature that I really like about this product is the auto-cutting feature. With this feature, I save my prep time, and I don’t need to worry about my juicer getting  stuck. Overall, I had a great juicing experience with the latest REVO830. If you have the budget I would recommend this slow juicer to you as it comes with a 20 years warranty for the motor and 5 years warranty for spare parts. I can’t wait to add the REVO830 into my kitchen full-time!
